Bronwyn Mayden 鈥74 serves as the assistant dean in the University of Maryland School of Social Work and as executive director of Promise Heights. She has an extensive history in program planning, policy development, community organizing, health promotion and marketing in the public and nonprofit arenas. As assistant dean, she is responsible for the overall performance and viability of the Office of Continuing Professional Education 鈥 the second largest continuing profession education program for social workers in the country. Seven Lincoln University alumni have been appointed to the Mayor鈥檚 Commission of African American Males for the City of Philadelphia. The Commission, announced by Mayor Jim Kenney at an October 18, 2016 press conference, will study the varying and diverse conditions of Black men in Philadelphia and provide yearly reports of recommendations to the Mayor on how to affect positive outcomes for Black men and boys.
